Hi, I’m Lisa Kemble, LMFT

I know how important your relationship is to you. You want to feel close again, to communicate without the same old arguments, and to feel truly seen and understood by their partner.

My approach is grounded in attachment-based therapy, and the Gottman Method, which means we’ll focus on creating the kind of connection that actually helps relationships thrive long-term, not just look for a quick fix.

I’ll help you identify the heart of the matter, see your cycles of disconnection more clearly, and find your way back to each other. Whether you want to communicate better, deepen your intimacy or repair past hurts, we can help you strengthen your relationship and create a more satisfying and vibrant connection.

FAQs

  • Couples therapy can be a good option for any couple that seeks to improve their relationship, whether you’re dating, considering marriage, or have been together long term. If you’re curious about the process, feel free to reach out to us at the contact page below to schedule a free phone consultation where we can answer any questions you might have. We see couples of all different genders and sexual orientations.

  • The Gottman Method is an evidence-based approach to couples therapy that helps partners improve communication, manage conflict, and deepen intimacy. It’s based on decades of research into what makes relationships last and what helps couples thrive.

  • We like to think of therapy like getting a personal trainer, but for your relationship. According to the American Psychological Association, psychotherapy has also been shown to help approximately three-quarters of the peoplewho try it. What’s more, they note that about 80% of people who tried some type of psychotherapy feel better after therapy ends than people who never attended therapy. If doubts persist, sign up for a free consultation below. We’re happy to answer any questions or address concerns. In addition, seeking individual therapy can still lead to significant changes in your relationship. We’re here to support you either way.

  • This depends greatly on the couple, how significant the changes are that you seek to make, and the history that each person brings to the relationship. Typically, couples who commit to at least six months of regular sessions will see significant changes in their relationship.

  • Not at all! One of the myths about therapy is that therapy is just for people in crisis or with serious problems, when in fact, there are many reasons to begin therapy. Some couples feel relatively happy and satisfied in their relationship, but want to work on better communication, increased intimacy, navigating life changes together effectively, etc.

  • We can definitely meet online, but you do have to be in the same space. Couples therapy works best when you can sit near each other and look into each other’s eyes.

  • We don’t, actually, but we have significant relationship experience and we are well equipped to see you individually as you navigate your breakup, uncoupling, or divorce process.
